Some thoughts on the strangeness of worlds
This is a comment I tried to post as a reply to the following post on Victoria [V.E] Schwabs blog: https://veschwab.wordpress.com/2015/01/27/the-first-100-pages-were-build-up-or-the-fantasy-writers-dilemma/ For some reason, it didn’t work, so I’m publishing it here instead. After all, this is home. The subject … Fortsätt läsa
The first analysis of ”Brother soul, sister flame”
Pernilla Lindgren, author of the fantasy novel Alvhilda, has finished her analysis of my novel Brother soul, sister flame. The book comes out pretty well, with the exception of the skin-colour issue. Interesting reading. Therefore: read it. Do it HERE. … Fortsätt läsa
Marketing in progress
While visiting Science Fiction-bokhandlen in Stockholms Old Town I took the chance to put stickers on my book. To make sure everyone knows it won third price in Indie Book Awards. I suppose it’s called marketing.
Interesting, with a touch of the nerves
Swedish writer and blogger Pernilla Lindgren, author of Alvhilda, has a project where she reads and grades modern Swedish fantasy novels based mainly on gender issues, such as how women and men are depicted and how they interact. How much … Fortsätt läsa
Did someone say my name?
Kaj Karlsson, winner of this years Indie Book Awards, kindly mentioned me in a post on his blog: http://www.aldabergr.se/parsifal-direktivet/1a-i-indie-book-awards-2014.html/ There is also a nice picture.
Mostly positive
And here’s a new review of my novel Brother soul, sister flame (Broder själ, syster flamma). Daniel Gunnarsson at Litteraturmagazinet finds the book slightly difficult to get into, but seems to consider it worth the effort. http://www.litteraturmagazinet.se/daniel-gunnarsson/boklogg/broder-sjal-syster-flamma-1560723 It’s very nice … Fortsätt läsa
Lack of patience = lack of relevance
It has happened many times, of course, but now when I’ve actually published a novel it strikes me harder: the apparent lack of patience among readers. ”If the first twenty pages don’t get me hooked I put the book away.” … Fortsätt läsa
The sound of an award
Here are two clips from the Indie Book Awards ceremony in Gothenburg this year. Swedish journalist Helena Frank recorded the ceremony and interviewed me afterwards. And yes, of course it’s in Swedish! Silly question. Here’s the ceremony: And here’s … Fortsätt läsa
